Atom Chip Corporation has developed a series of new Quantum and Quantum-Optical devices for storing and processing information. These devices permit high-speed data accessibility, with a high degree of reliability, non-volatility, and extremely high-density in an extremely compact size. The devices do not employ any mechanical or moving parts, and are completely based on solid state optoelectronics.

The Quantum-Optical memory has a much higher capacity when compared with Flash memory, has the lowest cost per Gigabyte and does not have a limited number of cycles to update information. Therefore, Quantum-Optical memory can be used as RAM, unlike Flash memory which can only be used as storage.
